Field Trips
We aim to plan at least one field trip each month for our families. These outings have included visits to local attractions, parks, museums, farms, and other enjoyable destinations. We seek opportunities that are engaging, family-friendly, and budget-conscious.
Moms’ Night Out
We try to plan a Moms’ Night Out each month as a chance to relax, connect, and enjoy time together. Whether gathering for dinner, meeting in someone’s home, or sharing a fun craft or activity, these evenings are a sweet opportunity for friendship and encouragement.
Middle School & High School Hangs (MS & HS Hang)
We love creating opportunities for our 6th–12th graders to spend time together each month, have fun, and strengthen friendships. These gatherings might include roller skating, movie nights, football games, bonfires, and more. They are always a fun and memorable part of the year for our students.
Formal Dances
Each winter, our middle and high school students come together for a formal dance. It is always a special evening filled with dressing up, taking group photos, dancing, singing, and finishing the night with ice cream. These events create lasting memories that our students cherish for years to come.
Once each year, we also participate in a Daddy-Daughter Dance for girls of all ages. This sweet event gives daughters the chance to enjoy meaningful one-on-one time with their dads, while dads get the opportunity to make their girls feel truly special. It is an evening full of joy, love, and memories that both fathers and daughters will treasure forever.
Standardized Testing
Each spring, we offer standardized testing for interested students in 3rd grade and up. Testing is administered by some of our FLC teachers in a supportive and familiar environment.
Back-to-School Picture Session
Every August, we coordinate a back-to-school picture session with a local photographer for families who would like to participate. These outdoor photo sessions are a fun way to capture the start of a new school year.
End-of-the-Year Party
Each May, as summer approaches and the busy school year begins to wind down, we gather together to celebrate all that has been accomplished. This special event includes student presentations and displays from FLC classes, games, fellowship, sweet treats, and more. It is a meaningful time to encourage one another, reflect on the year, and make lasting memories.
Note: FLC community and class membership is open to homeschool families who currently attend Riverstone Church.
